About Us

Mexico Relocation Services was founded out of a passion for Mexico and, specifically, the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo beachside community. We moved here to create a new lifestyle that embraces culture, tranquility, and fulltime suntans. We found all of this but we also found frustrations, complications, and misunderstandings. It has taken a lot of patience and mistakes to make our home in Zihuatanejo. We created Mexico Relocation Services to smooth and expedite the process for others moving here.

Mexico is not known for expediency or customer service. We are. Our mission is to take the confusion and hindrances out of relocating here. We have a bilingual staff who can address any of your questions or needs. We will answer your calls and emails within 48 hours and give you weekly status updates of ongoing projects.

Our website details a lot of the options we offer to assist you in your relocation process. Primarily, though, we're here to answer your questions and do your legwork. If you don't see the specific service you need, all you have to do is ask. We'll find a way to take care of it or find someone who can.

Meet the Mexico Relocation Team

Bev

After organizing a family vacation to Zihuatanejo in 1998, Beverley fell in love with the town and started getting crazy ideas about moving to the tropics. The difference between Beverley and most people is that she became determined to make that dream come true - and much earlier than those people who say "One day, when we retire..."

It only took a couple of years to make her dream a reality, and now she and her husband, Andy, have been living in Zihua for almost 7 years. For the first year after the big move, Bev continued to work as an Employee Benefits/Retirement Plan attorney via telecommuting and frequent trips back to San Francisco, but later she took over the management of Andy's computer software business, Electric Magic Company. In 2005, she extended her managerial duties to being a new mom to Trinity. Now that the baby is an active preschooler, Bev is ready to get out of the house and do what she does best: organize, advise and help others realize their dreams!

Bev & Andy's move included purchasing a home, acquiring a mortgage, overseeing the construction and remodeling of a large home, packing and shipping a 40-foot container from San Francisco, customs and duties traumas and technological learning curves (mostly on the part of the locals). She is eager and excited to work with Mexico Relocation Services and other Grupo de las Poderosas ventures because she will be able to put her extensive experience both as a lawyer and as a successfully-moved expatriate to use for others.

Bev is able to find creative solutions to any problem, be it cooking her favorite curry dish despite the fact that there is no unsweetened coconut milk available in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo or tracking down a shipping container lost in the customs red tape. Having a great sense of humor, the phone number for Asian food supply stores in Acapulco, and patience have saved the day numerous times while navigating her "dream" life in Mexico... Bev's wit, contacts, and persistence will all be at your disposal as a partner in Mexico Relocation Services and in your big move.

Isahrai

Isahrai has been living in Zihuatanejo for over 4 years, taking advantage of modern technologies to continue her work as a writer, creative consultant, and website designer. After living the big city life for over a decade in New York City, New Orleans and Boston, Isahrai came to Zihuatanejo for a "breather" and found an entirely new way to live. She became enchanted with small town life, the smell of salt water hanging in the air, and pozole on Thursdays at local pozoleria, Santa Prisca. As a freelancer, she was able to continue her work from Zihua via telecommuting. However, with most of her clients in the US and Europe, Isahrai found herself in front of a computer screen much more than on the beach. Working with Mexico Relocation Services (and other Grupo de las Poderosas ventures) empowers Isahrai to finally escape her home office and to interact with the community that she gratefully calls "home."

Isahrai is someone with wild ideas - she did move to Mexico by herself at age 25 after all! However, Isahrai's focus with Mexico Relocation Services is to help you organize your own wild ideas as you prepare for an international move. Take advantage of her experience working with major nonprofit and media organizations as a creative consultant to create a viable and exciting game plan for your move to paradise. Isahrai can also assist you with the set up and maintenance of the same technologies that she uses everyday to stay in contact with clients all over the world.
